| Here our a few tips for shaving. I’ve tried several different things, looking to find the right way to do it without spending a ton but getting the results that everyone wants: smooth soft legs with no razor burn. Here’s what I’ve come up with.
First of all, start out by running a nice hot bath. You want to soak your legs in warm water to soften the hair to help prevent razor burn. Soak for about 3-5 minutes. Next, wash legs with good soap using a clean rag. Rinse. Now exfoliate your legs with my recipe using Pre-Shaving Exfoliate Recipe aka Baby Exfoiliator. This helps slough off dead skin cells AND moisten your legs with the oil to prepare for shaving. After massaging, rinse. You are now ready to apply shaving cream! I use regular guy shaving cream for a couple reasons: It’s cheap, and it’s cheap! You also get more for your money. Oh, and the feminine creams make my legs itch afterward. Anyway, apply a descent amount to your legs. Now, you are finally ready to shave. By the way, this whole process doesn’t take as long as it may sound, and it’s well worth doing! Grab your razor. I don’t recommend cheap razors. I even tried shaving once with each cheap razor and still found that for the majority, I got bad razor burn. I’ve chosen instead to use Mystique. It’s a refillable razor that comes with 2 cartridges. Oh, and refills cost about $1 per razor. Not too bad. It’s the lower end refillable, but I’ve found it to work just fine. When shaving, go against the hair growth. Don’t go too fast, just glide along smoothly. After getting out of the tub, dry off and then moisturize with Olive Lotion. Viola! You are good to go! Until next time…. |
