| Refreshing Aloe Mask This mask feels so good! It’s got that cold tingly feeling going on that’s sure to get your circulation to your face, giving it a refreshing rosy glow! ¼ cup aloe vera gel (clear, unscented, no additives) 2 capsules of vitamin E Mix together in a small bowl Add: ½ tsp. tea tree oil* 1 chamomile tea bag that’s been steeped for about 1-2 minutes. Cut it open and add contents to the mixture. Stir. Let this set for about 30 minutes to an hour. Make sure your face is clean and then apply in upward kind of circular motions. Avoid your eyes! Tea tree oil has a rather strong smell, so I don’t recommend putting the mask under your nose. Let it warm and tingle your face for 10-15 minutes and then rinse of with cool water. Whew! Your face will feel alive! *You can find tea tree oil at Wal*Mart in the vitamin and herb section. Probably the same for Target too, but I found it at Wal*Mart. It has a strong smell, but it’s suppose to help with “minor cuts, stings and blemishes”, and it certainly adds a little something! |

| Strawberry's and Cream Oat Mask 1 Tbsp ground oats 2 ripe strawberries ¾ tsp cream (I used heavy; use regular milk if you have oily skin, heavy for dry) First, take the oats and grind them as much as possible using a blender. Next, mash the strawberries with a fork and add them to the oats. Mix n’ mash with the fork, then add the cream. Pull hair back! Splash your face with barely warm water, then spread this paste on. It would work the best if you were lying down with a towel under your head because this is a little on the chunky side. It’s not necessary though. Leave on for about 10 minutes then wash off with barely warm water, gently exfoliating as you rinse. So refreshing! It left my face glowing and dewy! Very gentle too. |
| Silky Skin Honey Oat Mask
1 Tbsp. honey 1/4 cup ground oats 1tbsp powdered milk Enough water to make a spreadable paste. Mix ingredients together and smooth onto face. Leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse with BARELY warm water, bordering on cool. Pat your face dry with a clean towel. This mask left my face feeling really soft and refreshed. This should work on all skin types, seeing as the ingredients are so mellow. |
| Baking Soda Mask
1 Tbsp baking soda Water to make a thin paste. Spread this onto your face, being really careful not to rub or massage. Leave on for only 5-6 minutes. Rinse with mild to cool water. This mask is supposed to be for oily acne prone and sensitive skin. When I tried this, I left it on for 15 minutes and ended up with a badly irritated red face! Great cleanser, but be careful on the timing. And when you rinse, be careful not to rub the cleanser off your face. Like I said, great cleanser, but easily irritates the skin if you’re not careful. *If you do end up with red skin, take a paper towel and dip it into cold milk. Spread this on your face frequently. When it starts to dry, rinse with cool water and repeat until your face calms down. It should be within about ½ hour. |

| Lemon Oat Mask ¼ cup oats, grounded 1 Tbsp plain yogurt 1 Tbsp fresh Lemon Juice Take your ¼ cup oats and put them in the blender for a couple minutes to grind. Place in bowl. Add lemon juice, fresh from the lemon, and yogurt. Mix with a fork till it forms a paste. It will be a bit thick, but that will make it stay on your face! Gently spread onto face with your fingers, getting a fairly nice layer spread, not too thick though, cause it’ll take awhile to rinse off. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with BARELY warm water, bordering on a tad cool. It’ll take some time to gently wash it off, but it’s worth it! Left my skin feeling smooth while getting rid of some excess oil I had. I didn’t find it too drying though; my face did have an ever so slight tight feeling (I have combo skin), so if you have dry skin I'm not sure if this is for you! If your skin is feeling oily, then this would probably help! |

| Egg White Mask
1 egg white Place egg white in a bowl and whisk it with a fork for a couple minutes. This’ll make it a little frothy and not as cold or ‘slimy’. Wet face with mild warm water. Next, take a cotton ball, dab it into the mixture and spread a nice layer onto face. Leave this on for about 15 to 20 minutes. It will start to feel really tight! Just hang in there; after all, this mask is supposed to tighten pores. After the time is up, rinse with BARELY warm water. My face felt so smooth and tight after this! It looked like my complexion improved too. I didn’t find this either moisturizing or drying, just softening and of course tightening. This would probably be able ok to use on all skin types. |
