What an amazing fruit! After doing some research, I will never look at the banana the same again. I usually always buy them when I go on my grocery runs, but I never knew they were so beneficial.
Bananas are full of vitamins and minerals with high levels of vitamin C, A, B6 and B12. They are also high in potassium, fiber and iron. A few ways bananas help when eaten include: digestive disorders, anemia, depression, PMS, constipation, hangovers, blood pressure, nerves and even morning sickness, just to name a few things.
When used externally, bananas are surprisingly good for quite a few treatments. When applied to burns and wounds it gives immediate relief. They also treat poison ivy, skin rashes and mosquito bites using the inside of the peel. When used consistently, the peel will help heal warts. Bananas are excellent for facials, moisturizing and leaving skin soft and fresh! Their properties are also used in many anti wrinkle treatments. Applying a mashed banana directly to your face and leaving for 20 minutes will help moisturize and fight wrinkles.
I will definitely be buying bananas more often, now that I’m more aware of how truly useful they are. They are said to be among the healthiest fruits, so don’t pass them up next time you shop! |
